Connect ChatGPT

Add valueIQ as a custom connector in ChatGPT. Custom MCP connectors are available on paid ChatGPT plans that support developer connectors.

Before you start. You need a valueIQ workspace and a ChatGPT plan that supports custom MCP apps (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Education — OpenAI updates this often, so check the vendor docs linked below for current availability). Custom MCP servers are called apps in ChatGPT (renamed from "connectors" in December 2025).

Steps

  1. Enable Developer mode. ChatGPT → Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → turn on Developer mode. On Business and Enterprise plans, a workspace admin may need to enable it first.
  2. Create the app. Click Create app next to Advanced settings, enter a name (e.g. "valueIQ") and paste the server URL:

  1. Create and connect. Click Create — ChatGPT lists the tools the server advertises. Sign in to valueIQ and approve the OAuth consent prompt on first use. There is no token to copy.
  2. Enable it in a chat. In any new chat, turn on the valueIQ app from the tools menu. Tools are only available in chats where the app is enabled.

Privacy

MCP calls run with your valueIQ identity and respect the same workspace permissions as the app. You can revoke a connected client at any time from Workspace Settings → Developer.
