Conversation starters and follow-ups

The copilot drafts the two messages sellers write most: the first one and the next one. This page covers the Conversation Starter for opening a prospect conversation and the Follow-up email quick action for keeping a deal moving. Nothing on this page is sent for you.

Before you start. Both drafts are grounded in the deal's value model and the prospect's company profile. Set up the deal first so the copilot has numbers to work with.

Conversation Starter

The Conversation Starter generates a personalised, value-led opening for a specific prospect. It draws on the prospect's company data, the product's value model and the value drivers most relevant to that company's profile, so the message names the prospect's likely business problem rather than a generic value proposition.

You can ask for three variants:

  • an email opener
  • a LinkedIn message draft
  • a call talk track

Alongside the message, the Conversation Starter gives you a structured opening approach: tailored discovery questions, the value angles to lead with and the objections you are likely to hear.

Trigger it from the Deal Copilot inside the deal. Ask for the variant you want and the audience it is for, then edit the result before you use it.

Follow-up email quick action

After a call, use the Follow-up email quick action to draft a value-anchored message without writing the prompt yourself.

  1. Open the deal and find the Copilot composer at the bottom.
  2. Choose the Follow-up email quick action.
  3. Pick the audience. The options are champion, economic buyer, CFO, procurement and technical evaluator. The choice changes which value drivers lead the email.
  4. Paste or select the next step you want the email to close on.
  5. Review the draft. It opens with the headline value number, leads with the two drivers most relevant to that audience, and closes with the next step you specified.

You can also ask in plain language in the composer, for example "Draft a follow-up email for the economic buyer summarising the value we discussed."

Nothing is sent automatically

Every draft comes back to you for review. valueIQ does not send email, LinkedIn messages or anything else on your behalf. Copy the draft into your own tools, adjust the tone and send it yourself.

Tip. The more the deal knows, the sharper the draft. Add call notes, objections and stakeholders to the deal before you ask for a follow-up, and the email reflects what was actually said.
