Move or copy a product

Products (value models) live in one workspace at a time, but you can move or copy them, put products and deals away when you are done with them, and remove archived items for good. This page covers each of those actions and what happens to the deals underneath.

Before you start. Check the workspace switcher in the top-left header. Move, copy, archive and delete all act on the active workspace.

Move or copy a product between workspaces

  1. Open Products in the left nav and find the product card.
  2. Open the ⋯ More menu on the card and choose Move / Copy.
  3. Read the dialog. It lists exactly what carries over and what does not before you confirm.

Multi-product deals, opposition (competitor) slots, chat history and existing business cases do not copy with the product. Expect to rebuild those in the destination workspace.

Archive a deal

  1. Open the deal and use the ⋯ More menu in the deal header.
  2. Choose Archive.

Archived deals are hidden by default. To see them, switch on the Include archived toggle in the Pipeline filter bar.

Archive a product

You can archive a product from the hover card on the product in the sidebar. Archiving a product archives all of its active deals at the same time. Archived products appear in their own tab in Workspace Settings.

Restore

The restore flow for a product lets you choose which of its deals to bring back. A deal linked to an archived product cannot be restored on its own: restore the product first, then the deal.

Delete permanently

Workspace admins can permanently delete archived products and deals.

  1. Archive the item first. Only archived products and deals can be deleted.
  2. For a product, delete it from the archived products in Workspace Settings. Deleting a product cascades: every associated deal, chat history, document and variable is removed with it.
  3. Type the product name to confirm. The typed confirmation is there to prevent accidental deletion.
  4. For a single deal, use the context menu on the archived deal's folder.

Permanent deletion cannot be undone. If you only want the item out of the way, archive it instead.

Tip. Before you delete a product, check whether any deal built on it is still referenced in a business case you have shared. The cascade removes the deal's documents and variables along with it.
