Multi-product deals
**Beta.** A single deal can carry more than one product, for bundles and cross-sell. The merge engine that combines the products' value models runs for everyone. The Products panel controls and the overlap indicators described on this page are in beta: open the workspace switcher and turn on beta mode, and they appear for users with beta access.
Before you start. Each product you want to add needs its own finished value model. Adding a product does not cost extra credits; the calculation happens within the deal you already created.
How the merge works
Adding a second product does not just add its numbers to the first. The merge engine reconciles the two models:
- Variables with the same name are shared. The lead product's value is the authoritative one.
- Drivers with the same name across products are combined rather than summed, so a benefit both products deliver is counted once.
- Every merge decision is written to a manifest that a sales leader can audit.
The result is one customer model and one business case for the bundle, at a total that does not inflate because two products claim the same saving.
Add a second product
- Open the deal. Deal page → Products panel → + Add product.
- Pick the product. Its drivers and variables merge into the deal's customer model.
- Review the overlap. The Overlap review step flags each overlapping driver as additive (both contribute) or redundant (only one should count). Resolve each one before the totals update.
The deal header shows a merge status of conflict, overlap, or clean. Where two products set the same field to different values, the Manual Merge Resolution flow lets you keep both, keep the primary, or keep the secondary, field by field. Pending-review indicators stay in the header and the left pane until you have resolved everything.
Reorder products
Drag the product chips in the Products panel. The lead product drives the default framing in the value story, so put the product you want the business case to open with first.
Remove a product
Products panel → product chip → ⋯ More → Remove. The customer model recalculates without that product's drivers.
Overlap at the product level
Overlap detection also runs on the product page, outside any deal, for drivers within a single product that may double-count the same economic benefit. It lists the overlapping pairs with a one-click exclude. That control is generally available and does not need beta mode.
Beta. Multi-product controls need beta mode. Open the workspace switcher and toggle beta mode; the Products panel and merge indicators appear for users with beta access. Note that multi-product deals do not copy when you move or copy a product to another workspace.
